PSPF MARKS INTERNATIONAL WELLNESS DAY WITH FREE HEALTH SCREENING FOR STAFF
The Public Service Pensions Fund, on 15th April 2026, observed International Wellness Day, proclaimed by the United Nations to promote global wellness for all.
To promote awareness and action towards holistic well-being, the United Nations designated 15th April as International Wellness Day. The Day serves as a platform for education, cultural exchange, and knowledge sharing, encouraging people everywhere to embrace accessible, inclusive, and affordable wellness practices that enhance both personal and collective health.
According to the United Nations, wellness is a vital pathway for enhancing quality of life, safeguarding human dignity, and enabling every human being to realize his or her full potential.
To mark the occasion, the Fund partnered with Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital, which delivers expert eye care with precision, compassion, and advanced technology.
The Hospital set up a
mobile check-up centre at the Fund Headquarters in Lusaka, providing members of
staff with an opportunity not only to undergo eye examinations, but also to
check their blood sugar levels and blood pressure, among other health services.
