PSPF PARTICIPATES IN THE 15TH ZIPRC AGM AND 14TH PUBLIC RELATIONS CONFERENCE IN LIVINGSTONE
The Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF) has joined other Public Relations practitioners from public and private sector institutions, religious bodies, and civil society organisations who have gathered in Livingstone for the 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 14th Public Relations Conference and Awards Gala, taking place from 18th to 21st March 2025 at the Avani Hotel.
This year’s event, themed “Strategic Communication and AI: Collaborate, Innovate and Thrive,” aims to inspire a new era of innovation and collaboration within the communication profession.
The four-day event commenced on 18th March with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, as ZIPRC members rolled up their sleeves and cleaned the Paediatrics Ward at the Livingstone University Teaching Hospital.
In addition, ZIPRC donated foodstuffs worth K150,000 to the Paediatric Hospital to support patients and caregivers.
Topics covered at the conference include “How AI can foster collaboration and innovation in strategic communication,” a panel discussion on building reputation, trust, and influence, risk and reputation management and Access to Information and Cybersecurity legislation. Other sessions focused on wellness for professionals, AI’s role in business communication, and Agency Public Relations.
Officiating at the event, Minister of Information and Media and Chief Government Spokesperson Hon. Cornelius Mweetwa who is also Patron of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations (ZIPRC) commended the Institute for constantly promoting professionalism in the field of Public Relations.
And ZIPRC President Irene Lungu Chipili said this year’s theme is timely and essential as it speaks to the evolving practice of Public Relations and the need for practitioners to adapt to the changing world of communication.
