PSPFS BEENE MUCHE MWEENE HONORED WITH ACC DIRECTOR GENERALS INTEGRITY AWARD FOR EXEMPLARY ETHICAL

IN RECOGNITION OF HER EXEMPLARY DEMONSTRATION OF INTEGRITY AND ETHICAL CONDUCT IN THE DISCHARGE OF HER DUTIES AT THE FUND

PSPFS BEENE MUCHE MWEENE HONORED WITH ACC DIRECTOR GENERALS INTEGRITY AWARD FOR EXEMPLARY ETHICAL

Beene Muche Mweene, a staff member at the Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF), has been honored with the Director General’s Integrity Award by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in recognition of her exemplary demonstration of integrity and ethical conduct in the discharge of her duties at the Fund.

This prestigious award acknowledges individuals who embody the values of transparency, accountability, and integrity in their professional responsibilities.

The award was presented to Ms. Mweene by the Secretary to Cabinet Mr. Patrick Kangwa and ACC Acting Director General, Mrs. Monica Chipanta Mwansa, at the Integrity Committee Chief Executive Officers Forum held on November 1, 2024, at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre-KK Wing in Lusaka.

Ms. Mweene was accompanied by PSPF Chief Executive Officer Mr. Francis Pindani Nyirenda, PSPF Integrity Committee Chairman Mr. Joseph Banda, and Committee Secretary Mrs. Mumbi M’ngawa.

In her remarks, Mrs. Mwansa commended Ms. Mweene for her exemplary conduct, urging her to maintain her high ethical standards and inspiring others to follow her example.

This recognition follows an incident in July 2024 when Ms. Mweene, a Records Assistant, declined a monetary incentive offered by a client seeking to expedite the processing of her pension benefits. Demonstrating integrity, Ms. Mweene returned the money to the client, reiterating her commitment to serving without expecting additional compensation.
