PSPF CEO CONFERS WITH ZNS COMMAND
The Public Service Pensions
Fund (PSPF) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Francis Pindani Nyirenda recently,
paid a courtesy visit to Lieutenant General Maliti Solochi, Commander of the
Zambia National Service (ZNS) as part of the Fund’s ongoing efforts to engage
with its partners for purposes of updating them on various developments within
the institution.
Accompanied by his senior
management team, Mr. Nyirenda commended the Zambia National Service for being a
key segment of PSPF contributing members. He expressed his satisfaction with
the cooperation the Fund receives from the Service in various collaborative
areas.
During the visit at the ZNS Headquarters
in Lusaka, Mr. Nyirenda updated the ZNS Command on recent developments within
the Fund aimed at enhancing pension administration and improving access to
services for members which include technology innovations such as system
integration, mobile applications, digitalization, and automation.
He also expressed appreciation
to the Defense Forces for leading the implementation of the Integration
Programme, which is crucial for meeting the Presidential directive that
mandates pension payments to be completed within 90 days of retirement, as well
as the government’s goals for digitizing business processes.
Lieutenant General Maliti
Solochi, who led the ZNS team, praised PSPF's efforts to digitize business
processes and integrate systems with partners, noting that these initiatives
will help reduce the waiting period for pensioners to receive their payments.
